How It All Started...

Two years ago I watched my eldest sister go through her roller-coaster of divorce. I was surprised at the fact that no one actually took the time to give her all the attention she needed or at least wonder how she was feeling. I questioned myself, "did anyone care?" Or did I just want to take matters into my own hands and help. As her sister I felt that it was indeed my responsibility to stay by her side and listen to her vent about her relationship issues. From that day on, I realized that I wanted to become a relationship counselor. I became so interested in learning how individuals coped with the ups and downs of being in a relationship. I wanted to discover "the whole truth and nothing but the truth" and everything that consists of being in a relationship. My blog is basically going to give my viewers a very deep and well thought process of how many relationships work. Understanding, trust, commitment, and the whole nine yards. Whether its the good or bad, just know that "theirs always two sides to every story." Lets begin!

  1. Mary,
I find this blog really interesting. The subject of divorce is a tumultuous one, certainly. When you say that you wondered if anyone cared, who are you speaking about specifically? Your parents? Other siblings? Friends?

It's interesting that your sister's relationship was the catalyst for this career plan. Do you have any experiences that also lead you in this direction?

  2. Dear Julie,

Thank you so much for responding to my blog post. I was actually speaking about my family and close friends to my sister. They seemed very distant, being that she just got a divorce they wanted to give her some space. In my mind I looked at it differently, I felt as If she needed the most attention right after her divorce. So, i stuck by her side; while everyone else was still trying to figure her out.
